Ohio Motorcycle started out as a bunch of guys whose love of "all things motorcycle" was constantly being interrupted by the need to work. The obvious solution was to combine the two, so in 1984, within a 7,000 square foot building on Leap Road in Hilliard, Ohio, Honda Northwest was born.

The motorcycle industry had it’s ups and downs during the mid eighties - and so did we. Our in-house promotions director helped us sponsor some major ATC races at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, aka "The Hilliard Dome". All the factory teams were there - we thought we were pretty hot stuff!

But when the Feds (the US Federal Government) said "no more three-wheelers", we were just about out of business. The addition of bicycles and skate boards kept us going and growing through those lean times and into the nineties.

In our eleventh year (1995) we moved Honda Northwest to our current location at Park Mill Run in Hilliard, Ohio. During the first 10 years at our new Hilliard location we've added BMW and Suzuki product lines. Many of our original Honda Northwest staff are still with us and though they aren't as fast in the saddle as they used to be, they really do know their stuff!

In the late nineties the Cleveland, Ohio motorcycle market was asleep; none of the existing motorcycle dealerships were promoting Japanese motorcycles. Even less was happening with product lines from Europe.

In 1997 we chose to open a second dealership, locating it in the Cleveland market - Cleveland-Akron Honda, The European Connection, located in Oakwood Village.

We actively promoted our Cleveland dealership on radio and TV and in particular, during Cleveland Indians' baseball games. Motorcyclists from throughout the area flocked to our doors and continue to do so to this day.

Our Cleveland area dealership began with Honda, Ducati and Triumph. We tried Moto Guzzi but dropped their lineup, adding KTM in their place. More recently, we've added Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles and ATVs to our Cleveland dealership.

Our service departments are staffed by some of the finest technicians and administrative staff in the region who receive factory training, keeping them at the leading edge of motorcycle and ATV maintenance and repair.
